Lego Mindstorms was invented during the Fall of 1994 in the MIT Media Lab. The Lego Mindstorms is a set that lets you build robots that you can easily build and program. You can build many different robots with this one kit of Legos. Besides the Legos you also need a computer and a program that you can download at the Mindstorm’s website.

Robot Showcase

The first robot my brother Joseph built is Trak3r.
He named it “Driller“.

This is the second robot Joseph built, it’s a Ev3rStorm.
He named it ¨Little Jimmy“.

This is the third robot Joseph built. It is a Rapt3r. I (Brandon) programmed it to be controlled by a remote or, if I´m feeling lazy, I can set it on autopilot. It has been programmed to slither around like a real snake. It also has a infrared sensor that senses heat, so if you were to put your hand near its head it would strike with a delay of 1 millisecond!
Here is a video of it striking!

Rubik’s Cube

What do you do when you have a ton of unsolved Rubik’s cubes???? YES, you build a robot to solve them for you!!!!!

This is the fourth and current robot built by my brother Bryan and programmed by me. Its name is the MindCub3r. As you may be able to tell, it solves Rubik’s cubes.

And when you have a ton of solved Rubik’s Cubes, you get bored….
and when you get bored, things like this happen!!

(For those who can see it, good for you!. If you can´t see it, look harder).
